Service Stations in Michigan to be Auctioned

Eight gas stations and convenience stores worth millions in the Monroe County area are being auctioned off as part of a bankruptcy proceeding involving an oil marketer.

Three stations in Monroe and others in Flat Rock, New Boston, Luna Pier, Milan and Temperance are among 41 in Michigan and Ohio to be sold as part of a receivership procedure against Fusion Oil by Comerica Bank.

Some of the stations and stores are closed. Some still are open and operating. The properties were placed in receivership in April and Comerica has control of them. Tranzon LLC, a Carrollton, Ga., auction firm, is handing the sale of the properties, which might be sold as a package or individually. Sealed bids are being accepted until 3 p.m. Aug. 14.
